Both the script and the performances are genuinely top-notch. The tone is evenly divided between the ribald and raw and the serious and horrifying and the thematic plate-spinning is both hysterical and nerve-racking to watch. Fisher has been churning out his unique brand of dark humor for a while now and his command of both his voice and the almost painterly use of light and color are as strong as they have ever been.
